Velvet slippers have carried grooms through black tie since the smoking-jacket era. Ours are cut lower than office shoes, piped in grosgrain and finished with the crest or monogram you choose in the studio. The last is shaped for a long day of standing, walking and dancing, not just the portrait.

The default answer for a black-tie wedding. Reads as classic in photographs and takes gold-thread embroidery better than any other color.

Can a groom wear loafers to his wedding?
Yes. A velvet slipper or Belgian loafer in black, navy or burgundy is fully correct with a tuxedo or dark suit, and most stylists prefer it to a stiff patent lace-up for a long day on your feet.
How far ahead should we order wedding loafers?
Allow 4 to 6 weeks. Each pair is made after sizing is confirmed, so it is easiest to place groomsmen orders together once every measurement is in.
Can groomsmen order matching pairs?
Yes. Order the same style and color for the party and add the monogram or crest only to the groom's pair, so the group reads coordinated and the groom stands apart.
What do grooms wear on their feet at a black-tie wedding?
Black velvet loafers are the classic answer with a dinner jacket; navy pairs with a midnight-blue tuxedo; burgundy works under candlelight. All three carry embroidery without breaking the dress code.
Groom Shoes
The groom's shoe should disappear into the outfit and survive the whole day — ceremony, photographs, dinner, and dancing. Groomsmen Orders
Matching groomsmen pairs are the simplest multi-pair order we make: one velvet (black or navy) chosen once, each member confirming his own size and width in the studio. Three to six pairs per wedding is typical. Have every member measure both feet and confirm before the cut — once velvet is cut, a pair cannot be remade or exchanged; every pair is custom and made specifically for the customer who ordered it. Place the full party order in a single 8+ week window so every pair arrives together.
Monogram & Crest Options
Wedding pairs take an embroidered monogram (initials), a family crest, or a wedding date inside or on the vamp, chosen in the studio alongside material, color, lining, sole, and finish. Monogramming is embroidered before lasting so it sits flat in the velvet pile. Mention crest artwork at order time so the atelier can confirm stitchability before the 4 to 6 week production window starts.
